Project Description
This 2013 grant to teacher Laura O’Malley introduces Robotics to 3rd Grade students in a fun and engaging way that reinforces lessons learned in the classroom.
Using LEGO Education WeDo Robotics Construction sets, students engage in cross-curricular (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) lessons that emphasize the design process and help to develop problem-solving skills. Students use LEGO pieces and mechanical parts to design robots that are then hooked up to computers and programmed to move, perform tasks and respond to commands.
